2002: 1000 Cranes was founded in June 2002 in response to a request from Duke University to create customized training programs for its Duke Certificate Program in Nonprofit Management.
2003: In September 2003, 1000 Cranes was created as a Limited Liability Company (LLC) based in North Carolina with headquarters in Research Triangle Park’s Meridian Center.
2006: 1000 Cranes receives its first registered trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office on September 19, 2006 for the slogan, “Believe. Plan. Fly.”
2007: 1000 Cranes opened a satellite site in Washington, DC to better address its US Federal clients. The “1000 Cranes” and 1000 Cranes logo become registered trademarks with the US Patent and Trademark Office
2011: In response to an increase in government contracts and to provide a higher level of service to its customers, 1000 Cranes consolidated its North Carolina and District of Columbia operations and moved its physical corporate US headquarters to its current location at 1425 K Street, NW, Suite 350. 1000 Cranes is chosen for the US Patent and Trademark Expo in Alexandria, VA
2012: 1000 Cranes is chosen for the second time to participate in the US Patent and Trademark Expo in Alexandria, VA
2013: 10 Year Celebration Party in Cary, North Carolina
2014: 1000 Cranes launches its cartoon crane mascots at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, NV. 1000 Cranes is chosen for the third time to participate in the US Patent and Trademark Expo in Alexandria, VA
2015: All operations were moved to the financial capital of the Southeastern United States in Charlotte, NC. 1000 Cranes begins work in New Zealand with “1000 Cranes Kids”.
