Naomi Takeuchi is President and Founder of 1000 Cranes, LLC. As a leadership consultant focused on strategic planning, she assists nonprofit organizations, corporations and entrepreneurs through thoughtful business planning around double bottom line thinking to ensure not only financial sustainability but also ensuring social impact. In November 2005, Naomi was accepted into the National Speakers Association (NSA) and is one of the few Asian-American women on the speaking circuit. In 2011, she joined the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS) as a dual member. Throughout her career, she has presented to executives, board members, senior staff, and consultants worldwide.
Naomi has an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley and earned her Executive MBA from the Kenan-Flager Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition, she has a certificate from Duke University in Nonprofit Management and has been an instructor there since June 2002. With over twenty years of experience in the biotech and computer science fields working in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors, Naomi has taken her wealth of knowledge of high performance, profitable systems and has integrated these concepts into a customized consulting practice specializing in Leadership Development, Strategic Planning and Social Entrepreneurship.
